What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing  is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website and is a huge business on the Internet … as well as a good place to start a new internet business.  In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts.  The central role of the affiliate is to build several targeted customer lists, in various niches, and expose merchant products to their respective customers. As you can see, the affiliate has a powerful position in the sales system and is usually compensated very well.

For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-term results. It has become famous for web sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income.  Every day, more people are persuing affiliate marketing business ventures and there are many eager Online Marketers selling products and training to them. Some are scams but there are also many quality training programs out there.  If you are brand new it will take time to sift through the multiudes of opportunities out there.

This marketer is currently taking some training with Alex Jeffreys of  www.marketingwithalex.com .  Unfortunenately, his course is closed at the moment, but he will be taking new students in the future.  He’s an excellent teacher and really cares about his students level of success.  My blog roll includes links to the blogs of my fellow students, if you are interested in learning more, check them out.

Affiliate marketing involves many tasks like blogging, forum communication, search engine optimization, product research, niche research, the development of several web sites, social site memberships, in fact many memberships to sites that provide you with resources, and let’s not forget auto responders.  (It’s best to go with a professional like aweber.)  Many people say that internet marketing is easy andprovides a fast income, but if you are new to this type of business, be prepared for INFO OVERLOAD.  I highly recommend a reputable online business coaching program such as mentioned above and Mary Gersten’s CMPS program here: http://www.24hourwebcash.com/rentrop0231  and John Paul Rygoza’s Affiliate Success here: http://www.reviewb4ubuy.biz/  both sites have free ebook information if you optin.  Yes, they are my affiliate sites, but I would not be promoting them if I didn’t first, try their training or secondly  believe in it’s value.

In any event I wish you success if internet marketing is something you wish to persue.

    Hi,

I can testify that Alex over-delivers! When you sign up with him in his coaching class, with effort on your part, he will not give up on you.

Compared to most IM teachers, he is the most hands-on mentoring teacher I’ve ever met online.

    All the best!

    Regards,

    Hi Petra,

It’s taking me for ever to get round everyone just to say hi, so I don’t want you to think I am being rude, but I’m turbo hopping to get round as many of the F500 that I can. If I wait for you to come to me, it might never happen. Thanks to all who have already visited Planet Valz.

This means I have a standard message for everyone, and I’m leaving it as a comment to the latest post. I hope this does not offend you as communication and generosity is what is driving this.

Firstly, my wishes to you for a Happy, Healthy and very Prosperous Year 2009.

Secondly, I want to give you a New Year present, but you need to go to http://daybydaymarketing.com/2008/12/choose-your-new-year-present/

I would appreciate being added to your blogroll if you set one up. I am happy to add you to mine when you come over.

    Hi Petra!

That was a great article on affiliate marketing. You are so right when you say that a person just getting involved in internet marketing should be ready for information overload! Lol… and that is putting it lightly. :-) The best thing a new person can do is find a mentor like we did in Alex Jeffreys. I have learned more in 2 months of his teaching than I have in years of trying to do it on my own. Alex rocks! Plain and simple! :-)

But, having said that I know that not everybody can get into his class, even the next time he teaches it. That is where your tips on Mary Gersten’s and John Paul Rygoza’s affiliate programs rock. Good mentoring, in any form, is worth the price you have to pay for it.

    See you in the webinars!

    Hey Petra,

Nice site love the graphics! Just came from Alex Jeffery’s site. And had to stop by and say good for you girl! For going to Jeff Dedrick’s boot camp. Had to many irons in the fire to go myself but I bet it’s going to be good! You’ll end up with a new computer and a web site that will make you some profit and pay for your expenses plus some. I’m almost jealous of you now. But I’m not. I hope you learn a lot and have a great time in the process!

While you’re there is a great time to find like minded people that you could JV with also. You go girl! I hope that’s the best time of your life with your clothes on. LOL

Didn’t mean to be rude, just my poor since of humor. feel free to edit this or just delete it if you want. You were the only one this was meant for anyway.

I’m rooting for you and wish you the best!

    Hey Christopher!
Thanks for that bit of encouragement … I am so excited about it, I can hardly focus on my JOB and it’s all I talk about … aside from what I’m learning with Alex … my co-workers are plenty sick of me, I tell you lol Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Petra, this is my first visit to your site as I trek my merry way through all of Alex’s students blogs. You have a nice looking blog, and informative. I personally think Alex is the best thing since ’sliced bread’! If we all do not succeed I don’t think it is down to him but from our own lack of effort. I have had contact with some students who are still holding on to the idea that you will get rich quick with not much effort – think again! I do believe we will all get there in the end, but not without plenty of effort. Nothing comes for free!!
If you have a minute I would like you to visit my site and perhaps leave a comment. Thanks in anticipation.
    Paull
